Your journey as a content creator starts here.
We'll focus on sharing value, expertise, experiences, and even simple thoughts with others online.
I'll share the tools I personally use for creating Instagram videos, TikTok content, YouTube videos, podcasts, and this newsletter.
Sharing is a powerful self-growth tool, giving you the space to evolve through a supportive community—our focus for today.
Self-growth starts with:
We will keep the upper section fairly quick, I want only the juice here.
OFF TOPIC
I can’t write shortly from what I saw seconds ago and I have checked how many words I have already written - I am going to make two chapters for this email, don’t you worry they will be comprehensive and enough for me to say I am proud sharing all this info.
I just want you to have confidence in what you are going to do, and I want to know I gave you enough tools that one day I didn’t have myself.
Key tools for your daily work:
We will cover this section in the next on. 2-2, so now.
Let’s go then! The main goal of this newsletter is to give you all the essential tools for you to start. There are not going to be any excuses after. I hope I will make it the way you will understand everything and there won’t be any very fundamental questions over what you will find it.
Why should you create content?
Your body including your mind wasn’t designed to storage infinite amount of data.
It’s most active and happy to grow when you create.
Your brains needs you to actively stimulate it with creative process on the top of what you put in.
So let’s cut down a little bit all the self-improvement videos, articles, books etc. and focus on doing stuff right now.
It’s important for you growth.
Putting the action instead of passively acquiring more and more, it’s not possible to get more without giving something to this process.
Sharing is an amazing process of self-reflection and connecting with others.
It brings me peace.
And unlimited storage for all my thoughts, feelings, and just creation of current moment.
Everyone finds their own explanation for “why should I create?”
For me it is to see smile on other people faces, it is to share a genuine message coming from my heart, it is to overcome myself and give something to this world instead of just taking.
How to overcome the “what will people say?” phase
They will say… probably nothing or they will talk behind your back.
Back in the middle school. Oh I loved it.
I only got to know from my other people I knew back then that sometimes my topic is brought back to the audience and they talk about my content that I create.
They talk with each other without my presence, and without seeing me for years - how my content is goofy, why would someone share anything like this, where does it lead etc.
Were they jealous? Probably. It matter nothing now.
What I know is they still keep coming to my profiles without officially following me to see how the things are. It is this way and probably will be. I will focus on myself and on genuine connections.
Is it true what they were saying about me? I have no idea if they actually did. It was told to me that they did, and it touched me. It gave me strength and a bit more purpose.
That I have to do it for myself and for my goal - and not for them.
So. The message is - the people will talk when you start actually doing more than them, or just do a lot.
I have uploaded till today over 500 Tiktoks, hundreds of posts on instagram, hundreds of blog posts etc. time has passed over the last 5 years.
And I feel that I grew with all of it.
It’s funny that I put Tiktok on the first place here… strange platform. But back in 2021 that was a good time there :)
You will probably get some comments under your posts.
You want it.
You want feedback to grow.
And pivot.
That’s it, take it all as lessons and not personal. Nothing is personal until you make it this way.
Speaking to the camera - easier said than done.
Oh wow.
It started with a photo of my back on my instagram - you can probably still see that one.
No face. No voice. Just a description and something that I was proud of developing over the last 2 years back then.
I knew it’s only beginning of the journey, and I had to make myself to post even something like it.
It was scary.
Posting this, imagine. Pff. But I totally get right now how it is to be a beginner at opening yourself to the world - talking to the camera, much different level of stress when you are not used to it?
How to get used to it? Practice.
I started walking with a camera on instagram talking to maybe 10 followers I had back then after I started my journey (I have cleaned my account to zero and got some from first infographics).
Introduce them to your surroundings.
What’s happening around you.
Show your face and click upload.
Close your eyes and sit down.
Do it once again tomorrow.
Then just say hello and something else.
Make it awkward in the beginning - I still remember when I was singing Bad Habits Ed Sheeran… I wasn’t that long ago… I hope so.
And turning around on my desk chair singing it to my audience.
I was dancing in front of the camera.
I made a goof of myself just to get over the stress - it didn’t mean anything to anyone. Just to myself.
The journey is still going right now. Imagine it’s not an easy task still for me to be in the public and open my camera and start talking. Or maybe it is? I just don’t know what to talk about.
That’s the mindset shift that happens over YEARS. Not weeks, months or days as some of people may think. The process lasts forever, and yes - you can get fluent in camera skill in a matter of one day probably. But. Real confidence and experience you will gain over the years.
And right now.
I feel so happy over this change.
I am talking to the camera without any barriers.
I collaborate with people in person and have more language skillset just because I feel confident in front of the camera.
It builds you up when you have that skill.
Just talk.
Record yourself as much as possible.
And UPLOAD.
Let it all out as much as possible.
You will thank yourself.
That is one of the “regrets” I would have toward myself - that I didn’t have balls years back to actually start. I would be much farther right now, or maybe not? No idea. I am happy that I eventually started and the journey only goes on.
So be scared. Make a goof of yourself (don’t do it, or maybe do it - just for a seek of being a goof), but focus on growing personally.
You want to grow the skillset and acquire all the essential tools for yourself and be a stronger person because of it.
You are becoming someone else by learning that skill.
I am happy for you, that you want to start.
Getting started.
Just do it.
Stop thinking.
Press upload.
Whatever.
Upload whatever.
Close your eyes, say that you will lose a part of yourself if you want do it or whatever - really harsh, but I kept using this metaphor to push myself to extremes sometimes.
You have to blindly make yourself be pushed to this first step.
Later.
Consistency.
Make it easy.
And keep doing it over and over.
The professionalism,
how and what will become easy to spot.
Maybe you can work on your WHY, before you post.
But I want you to post first.
You will find your WHY during one of these deep conversations with random person you meet one day or on a long walk/marathon run you get to have.
Best of luck!
See you in the next chapter when we go through all the essential tools!
I hope you will enjoy it, even more.
I will put only the juice there - tools, apps etc.
And all my personal ways of doing as I do right now.
If you have any questions, just shoot me up a message on instagram.
Thanks. Bye!
